All 3600Description of Change: New fuel injector groups are used in these engines. The new fuel injector has an improved fuel inlet port that reduces internal cavitation erosion on the plunger that can lead to a seizure.Low-pressure fuel system set-up is critical to injector life. Reference Special Instruction, REHS7870, "Set up Procedure for the Low-Pressure Fuel System of 3600 and C280 Diesel Engines" when replacing injectors or troubleshooting the low-pressure fuel system.Adaptable To: The new injector groups are a direct replacement and can be mixed with the former injector groups. The fuel inlet port is internal to the injector so the former and new injector will look similar in appearance.
