All A revised Guideline for Reusable Parts and Salvage Operations, SEBF8083, "Procedure to Inspect and Repair Wheel Spindles Used on Off-Highway Trucks" is now available. The guideline has been revised in order to provide better information for the inspection of the spindles. The guideline also contains better information for the salvage of the spindles. This guideline details the inspection and salvage of all front and rear spindles of off-highway trucks. The guideline, which is in color, contains information about the following components: laser hardened spindles, laser clad spindles and bearing journals that are not hardened. The guideline also contains a detailed section about the inspection of splines.The guideline contains the current information about the reusability of spindles. Color photographs and detailed charts cover the spindles of all off-highway trucks. Dealers with Subscription, SEBF8052 or Subscription, SEBF8286 will receive copies in the first quarter of 2001.
