Start By:a. remove air cleaner groupb. remove radiator and radiator guardc. remove drive shaft *d. remove air conditioner compressor (do not disconnect freon hoses)3. remove ground speed sensor ***This procedure found in the Challenger 65 Power Train, Disassembly And Assembly module.**This procedure found in the Challenger 65 Vehicle Systems, Disassembly And Assembly module. 1. Disconnect two oil lines (1). Disconnect two fuel lines (2) and put a cap on the ends. Remove six bolts (3) and cover (4). 2. Disconnect fuel lines (5) and (6) and put a cap on the ends. Make an identification of the position of lever (8) on shaft (7).3. Remove two bolts (9), and remove lever (8) with housing (10). 4. Remove ground wire (11) from the engine block. Identify and disconnect electrical wires (12) from the electric starting motor. 5. Remove two brackets (13) and the two hoses that the brackets hold. Disconnect three wire harnesses (14). Disconnect ether line (15). 6. Install tooling (A) to the two lifting brackets on the engine block. 7. Remove bolt (16), and remove front engine mount assembly (17) on each side of the engine. 8. Remove bolt (18), and remove rear engine mount assembly (19) on each side of the engine. Remove the engine. The weight of the engine is approximately 1347 Kg (3000 lb.).Install Engine
1. Install tooling (A) to the two lifting brackets on the engine block. Position the engine in the frame and install the two front engine mount assemblies and the two rear engine mount assemblies.2. Tighten the four bolts that hold the front and rear engine mount assemblies, to a torque of 875 100 N m (640 75 lb.ft.). 3. Connect ether line (15). Connect three wire harnesses (14). Install two hoses and brackets (13) that hold the hoses to the engine. 4. Connect electrical wires (12) to the electric starting motor. Install ground wire (11) to the engine block. 5. Position housing (10) on the governor. Align the identification mark on lever (8) with the identification mark on shaft (7), and slide the lever on the shaft. Install the two bolts (9).6. Connect two fuel lines (5) and (6). 7. Install cover (4) with six bolts (3). Connect fuel lines (2).
