1. Disconnect tube assembly (1) and hoses (2) from transmission relief valve (3).2. Put identification marks on two wires (4). Disconnect the two wires from the sensor.3. Remove the three bolts that hold transmission relief valve (3) on the transmission, and remove the transmission relief valve.4. Remove the eight O-ring seals from the transmission relief valve. The following steps are for installation of the transmission relief valve.5. Install the eight O-ring seals on transmission relief valve (3).6. Position the transmission relief valve on the transmission, and install the three bolts that hold it in place. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 48.4 N m (35.8 lb ft).7. Connect two wires (4) to the sensor.8. Start By:a. remove transmission relief valve 1. Remove sensor (1) from valve body (2).2. Remove three bolts (3), cover (5), spool (7), slug (8) and spool (12) from the valve body.3. Remove two O-ring seals (6) from cover (5).4. Remove three bolts (4), cover (11), spool (9), spring (10), piston (16), three spacers (15) and springs (13) and (14) from valve body (2).5. Remove the four O-ring seals from cover (11). 6. Remove ring (17), retainer (18), spring (19) and check (20) from spool (12). 7. Remove plug (23), spring (22) and valve (21) from valve body (2). Remove the O-ring seal from plug (23).8. Remove plug (24), retainer (25), spring (26) and poppet (27) from the valve body.9. Remove the O-ring seal from plug (24). Remove the washers from inside retainer (25).10. Remove plug (31), retainer (30), spring (29) and poppet (28) from valve body (2).11. Remove the O-ring seal from plug (31). Remove the washers from inside retainer (30). The following steps are for assembly of the transmission relief valve.12. Install the O-ring seal on plug (31). Install the washers in retainer (30).13. Install poppet (28), spring (29), retainer (30) and plug (31) in valve body (2).14. Install the O-ring seal on plug (24). Install the washers in retainer (25).15. Install poppet (27), spring (26), retainer (25) and plug (24) in the valve body.16. Install the O-ring seal on plug (23). Install valve (21), spring (22) and plug (23) in valve body (2).17. Install check (20), spring (19) retainer (18) and ring (17) in spool (12).18. Install the four O-ring seals on cover (11).19. Install springs (13) and (14), three spacers (15), piston (16), spool (9), spring (10), cover (11) and bolts (4) in valve body (2). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 30 7 N m (22 5 lb ft).20. Install two O-ring seals (6) on cover (5).21. Position slug (8) in spool (7). Install spools (7) and (12), cover (5) and bolts (3) in the valve body. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 30 7 N m (22
