This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS4198" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

Parts Stock
Remove all Woodward 8290-189 Controllers from parts stock.
Affected Product
In the generator mounted control panel, make note of the existing wiring on each terminal of the existing Woodward 8290-189 Controller. Then disconnect the wiring and remove the controller.
Replace the controller with a 1315455 Control Assembly (Woodward 8290-184), and re-connect the wiring.
Perform the initial (static) checks and the dynamic (running) checks per the instructions in SENR6430-01 Service Manual for 524 & 1724 Governor Systems.

Submit one claim for all Woodward 8290-189 Controllers removed from parts stock.

Parts Disposition
Return the old 8290-189 Controller and those found in Parts Stock to a local F.G. Wilson dealer or to:
