Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the transmission control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission Control Valve - Remove".

Remove manifold (1), modulating valve (2), and relief valve (3) from manifold (4).

Remove O-ring seals (5). Remove test port (6) and temperature sensor (7).

Personal injury can result from parts and/or covers under spring pressure.Spring force will be released when covers are removed.Be prepared to hold spring loaded covers as the bolts are loosened.
Remove bolts (10), cover (11), and O-ring seals (8) and (9). Remove piston (19) and spring (18). Remove spool (17). Remove slug (12), retaining ring (13), retainer (14), spring (15) and ball (16) from spool (17).

Remove nut (22), washer (21) and coil assembly (20) from modulating valve (2).

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Remove stem (28). Remove O-ring seals (27), nut (23), seat (24), ball (25), and rod (26) from stem (28). Remove orifice (32), plunger (31), spool (30), and spring (29).
