Move the machine away from other operating machines and away from personnel. Park the machine on a smooth, level surface. Lower the work tool to the ground. Location of service connector
Connect the 317-7484 Communication Adapter Gp to an available COM port on your PC and to the service connector on the machine.
Start the engine.
Open the software program for the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET).

Choose "Implement". Press "ENTER".

Select "Diagnostics" from the menu. Select "Diagnostic Tests". Then, select "Implement Hydraulic Service Mode".

Select the "OK" button. The machine is now in the service mode.All advanced implement control features will be disabled in this service mode. Kickouts, cylinder snubbing, float control, and dump rate control are features of the implement control that will be disabled.

Select the Next button in order to begin. Follow the instructions that are on the screen.
The service mode will deactivate when you cancel the "Implement Hydraulic Service Mode". The service mode will deactivate when you exit the "Implement Hydraulic Service Mode" screen.
