Personal injury can result from hot oil spray and raised attachments.Make sure all attachments have been lowered, oil is cool and the pressure has been released from the hydraulic system before removing any components or lines.Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.
Do not check for leaks with your hands. Pin hole (very small) leaks can result in a high velocity oil stream that will be invisible close to the hose. This oil can penetrate the skin and cause personal injury. Use cardboard or paper to locate pin hole leaks.

Apply 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant to the pipe threads of 8C-6874 Connector (7). Install connector (7) at each end of 6V-7788 Oil Flow Meter (8) .
Install 6V-9746 O-Ring Seal (6) onto the face of each connector.
Install 6V-8943 Reducer Assembly (5) onto each connector.
Install 7J-9108 O-Ring Seal (4) onto the face of each reducer assembly.
Install 7X-3165 Swivel Adapter (3) onto each reducer assembly.
Install 2M-9780 O-Ring Seal (2) onto each swivel adapter.
Install 153-2995 Quick Disconnect Coupling (1) onto the input side of the flow meter assembly.
Install 153-2994 Quick Disconnect Coupling (9) onto the output side of the flow meter assembly.Output Test for the Gerotor Motor
Install the trencher onto the skid steer loader. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7212, "Work Tool Installation".

Connect flow meter assembly (4) to lower quick disconnect coupling (5) .
Connect hydraulic hose (3) to the flow meter assembly.Note: Do not route the hydraulic hoses through the hose guide on the skid steer loader.
Connect hydraulic hose (1) to upper quick disconnect coupling (2) .

Apply two 13 mm (0.5 inch) strips of reflective tape (9) at equal spacing on the shaft of auger (8) .
Mount photo tach (7) of the 9U-7400 Multitach Tool Group to underneath side of front frame (6) of the trencher.
Enter the host machine.
Fasten the seat belt and lower the armrest.
Start the host machine.
Raise the trencher slightly off the ground.
Place the auxiliary hydraulic control to the AUX 1 position and activate the continuous flow control.
Increase engine speed until the flow meter reads 45 L/min (11.9 US gpm).
Check the output rpm on the multitach. The reading should be approximately 105 20 rpm.If the output rpm is less than 85 rpm, there may be excessive leakage within the gerotor motor. Replace the gerotor motor.
Deactivate the auxiliary hydraulic control.
Lower the trencher to the ground.
Decrease engine speed to LOW IDLE
