Set Points
The EMCP 4.3/4.4 have various set points that can be programmed or adjusted. The set points can be adjusted with the display or Cat ET. Use the following steps to program the set points with the display.
Use the navigation keys at the "MAIN MENU" to select "CONFIGURE". Press the OK key. Refer to Illustration 1.

Use the navigation keys at "CONFIGURE" to select "ALL SETPOINTS". Press the OK key. Refer to Illustration 2.
Illustration 2 g02137855All of the set points on EMCP 4 can be accessed through the "ALL SETPOINTS" menu. However, set points that are related to input and output configuration can be accessed through the "INPUTS & OUTPUTS" menu under "CONFIGURE". The set points in the EMCP 4 are organized into multiple submenus. For additional information refer to the "Menu Maps" within the Testing and Adjusting, "Electronic Control Module (Generator Set) - Configure" section of this manual.Configuring Set Points
Set points can be one of four different types:
Numerical Entry
Selection
Suspect Parameter Number
Event ResponseEach type set point is configured differently. For configuring any set point with the display, the user must first have the proper security access.Numerical Entry Set Point
Numerical set points are parameters like time delays and thresholds. The display will show the current value for numerical set points.Use the following steps to change the value of a numerical type set point.Note: The following references to the up and down keys refer to the navigation keys on the ECMP 4 panel.
Press the "OK" key when the set point is highlighted. The current value of the set point will be shown with the rightmost digit highlighted.
Press the up key and the down key to adjust that digit to the desired value. Digits will wrap around. Therefore, pressing up when "9" is shown will change the number to "0". Pressing down when "0" is shown will change the number to "9".
Once that digit is set to the desired value, press the left key to move the cursor to the next digit.
Press the up key and the down arrow keys to adjust that digit to the desired value.
Continue the previous steps until the desired value is displayed.
Press the "OK" key to save the value.Note: You can quickly select the largest possible value for a set point. Select the value by pressing the left arrow key until the leftmost digit is shown, and then press and hold the up arrow key until the value stops changing. You can quickly select the smallest possible value for a set point.
