Fuel Inlet Screen
Clean
1. Unlatch and raise the engine hood. 2. Release hose clamp (1), and remove hose (2) from elbow (3).3. Insert cork plug into hose (2).Clamp the end of hose (2) with hose clamp (1) to prevent fuel leakage. 4. Separate adaptor (4) from fuel transfer pump (5) and remove screen (6) from adaptor (4).5. Wash screen in nonflammable solvent.6. Insert screen (6) into adaptor (4), and connect adaptor (4) to transfer pump (5).7. Remove cork plug from hose (2) while releasing hose clamp (1).8. Connect hose (2) to elbow (3). Confirm that hose clamp (1) secures hose (2) tightly. 9. Purge air from the fuel line according to the procedure given for "Priming the Fuel System".Hydraulic System
Service Strainer and Filters
Clean the Strainer
1. Clean area thoroughly to keep dirt out of strainer and filter covers. 2. Also, relieve the internal pressure from the hydraulic tank by loosening the fill/vent plug on its top. After completely relieved, securely tighten the plug. 3. Remove bolts (1), plain washers (2) and cover (3). 4. Remove spring (4) and strainer (5). 5. Wash strainer (5) in clean nonflammable solvent and allow to dry. 6. Inspect O-ring seal and replace if worn or damaged. 7. Install strainer (5) and spring (4). Make sure seal and spring are properly positioned. 8. Inspect the seal and replace if worn or damaged. 9. Install cover (3) with plain washers (2) and bolts (1).Change the Return Filter
1. Remove bolts (1), plain washers (2) and cover (3). 2. Remove spring (4), valve (5) and element (6) from the case. 3. Inspect O-ring and replace if worn or damaged. 4. Install new element (6), valve (5) and spring (4). 5. Install cover (3) with plain washers (2) and bolts (1).Change the Drain Filter
1. Open the access cover located to the left of the hydraulic tank. 2. Clean area to keep dirt out of filter base.3. Remove the used element from filter base. 4. Clean the filter base. 5. Coat the seal of a new filter with clean hydraulic oil and install it in the filter base.6. Install a new filter by hand. When the filter element contacts the seal, tighten 3/4 turn more.7. Close the access cover.Change the Pilot Filter
1. Unlatch and open the side cover at the left of the machine. 2. Clean area to keep dirt out of pilot filter. 3. Remove case (2) from filter base (1). 4. Remove element (3) and O-ring seal (4) from filter base (1).5. Clean the filter base. 6. Wash case (2) in clean nonflammable solvent. Allow the case (2) to dry. 7. Lightly oil new O-ring (4) with clean hydraulic oil and install it in filter base. 8. Coat the seal of new element (3) with clean hydraulic oil.9. Install element (3) carefully to avoid seal damage. 10. Tighten case (2) to filter base (1).Change the By-pass Filter
1. Loosen the drain plug located at the bottom of the case to drain oil.2. Remove the case by loosening the head
