A new version of PC Service Tool (EERE5001 ver. 1.0.2) can now be downloaded from the Caterpillar SISweb Internet site. To download the new version of PC Service Tool, perform the following steps:

From the main SISweb page under the "Highlights" Section, click on "Downloads". From "Downloads", scroll down to "Additional Downloads".

Select "PL102C Service Tool ".Save the file to a folder. Record the folder location where the file was saved.Uninstall the Old Software
If you have previously installed an earlier version of the Product Link PL102C Service Tool, you must first uninstall the older version. To uninstall the older software, perform the following steps:
Click on "Start", "Settings", "Control Panel", and "Add/Remove Programs".

Scroll down the "Add/Remove Programs" list until you locate the Caterpillar Service Tool. Click on "Remove". Answer Yes to the pop-up "Are you sure you want to remove?".

Install the New Software
Perform the following steps to install the new PL102C Service Tool Software:

Locate the previously saved zip file. Extract the compressed files and double-click on "Setup.exe". An icon will be placed on your desktop as shown in Illustration 6.

Connect the 249-6476 serial cable and start the PC Service Tool application.
Verify/Set the Product Watch. For configuration information, refer to Systems Operations, RENR8115, "Product Link PL102C", "Configure PL102C Module Property Parameters".
