Illustration 9. Location of 1F-0750 Weld Nuts4. Use six 4L-6454 Bolts and six 1F-0750 Weld Nuts to assemble plate (2) into position on the right side of the support assembly. Spot weld the weld nuts to the inside of the support assembly, as shown. The spot weld on the weld nuts must be able to withstand 65 N m (50 lb ft) torque on the weld nut without failure to the weld.

Illustration 13. Layout for Access Hole7. Before you layout the access hole for the left side of the support assembly, finish grind the area smooth. Remove all paint from the area in order to prepare the area for additional rework. Layout the access hole according to the dimensions in Illustration 12. Cut the access hole with a torch. Make sure that you leave a clean and smooth surface after you have cut the access hole out. Blend out any sharp corners or notches.

(1) Plate. (4) 2.0 mm (.079 inch) fillet weld, 100.0 mm (3.94 inch) long, 300.0 mm (11.81 inch) center to center spacing. (5) 2.0 mm (.079 inch) flare-bevel weld, 100.0 mm (3.94 inch) long, 300.0 mm (11.81 inch) center to center spacing.

Weld the 20.0 1.5 mm (.08 .04 inch) side of plate (1) to the inside on each side of the support assembly according to the dimensions in Illustration 14.9. Before you prime and paint the support assembly, finish grind and polish all the surfaces on the support assembly. Blend out any sharp corners and remove any notches. If you choose to sandblast the entire support assembly before you prime and paint, use small sized sand.10. Prime the support assembly as needed. Finish paint the entire support assembly.

(1) Plate.11. When the paint is dry on the support assembly, install the 123-3827 Seal to plate (1) on each side of the support assembly. Cut the seal to the same length as plate (1).
Illustration 17. Installing the New Baffles12. Remove the former 2A-7325 Baffles from the 2A-7326 Shield Assembly and the 7I-4616 Plate Assembly. Save the 4B-4274 Washers in order to install the new baffles. Install the new baffles on the shield assembly and plate assembly using 5M-5732 Rivets and 4B-4274 Washers. The stepped edge of the baffles are located towards the radiator.
