Adjust all mirrors as specified in the Operation and Maintenance Manual. Failure to heed this warning can lead to personal injury or death.
Slips and falls can result in personal injury. Use the machine's access systems when adjusting the mirrors. If the mirrors cannot be reached using the machine access systems follow the instructions found within the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Mirror" in order to access the mirrors.

(1) Left Outside Mirror
(2) Right Outside Mirror Mirrors provide additional visibility around your machine. Make sure that the mirrors are in proper working condition and that the mirrors are clean. Adjust all mirrors at the beginning of each work period and adjust the mirrors when you change operators. The appropriate organization of the job site is also recommended in order to minimize hazards due to visibility. Refer to this Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Visibility Information" for more information about the mirrors.Modified Machines or machines that have additional equipment or attachments may influence your visibility. Park the machine on a level surface.
Lower the work tool to the ground.
Move the hydraulic lockout control to the LOCKED position. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Operator Controls" for more information about the lockout control.
Stop the engine.
Adjust the mirrors in order to provide visibility behind the machine at a maximum distance of 30 m (98 ft) from the rear corners of the machine.Note: Check government regulations as this distance may be different.Example: Japan requires 50m (164ft)Note: You may need to use hand tools in order to adjust certain types of mirrors.Left Outside Mirror (1)

Illustration 3 g03204544Adjust the right outside mirror (2) so that an area of at least 1 m (3.3 ft) from the side of the machine can be seen from the operator seat. Additionally, provide as much visibility to the rear as possible.Heated and Powered Mirrors (If Equipped)

Push the top of switch (3) in order to enable the heated mirror. Note: The heated mirrors are on a timed cycle. The heat will turn off automatically when time has elapsed.Adjust the Mirror
Turn the adjustment knob of mirror control (4) to the left in order to control the left-hand mirror.Turn the adjustment knob of mirror control (4) to the right in order to control the right-hand mirror.To adjust the mirror position, move the adjustment knob in the desired direction of mirror movement. Adjust each mirror so that an area of at least 1 m (3.3 ft) from the side of the machine can be seen from the operator seat.
