The ether starting aid (switch) is located on the front console.
Ether Starting Aid - The ether starting aid is required during cold weather operation. While you crank the engine, depress the switch in order to inject a premeasured amount of ether into the air intake. The switch will return to the NEUTRAL position when the switch is released. Note: The ether starting aid is injected automatically when the temperature is below 0 °C (32 °F). When the temperature is above 0 °C (32 °F), the ether starting aid will not inject ether into the engine.
Inject ether ONLY while cranking the engine. Use the ether sparingly. Excessive ether can cause piston and ring damage. Use ether for cold starting purposes only. See the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Starting Below 0°C (32°F) with Ether Starting Aid" for further information.
