Section A-A1. Using three bolts (5) spaced 120° apart, assemble plate (9) without shims (8) to pin (4).2. Evenly torque bolts (5) to 200 25 N m (150 18 lb ft). Bolts (2) and washers must be installed, but not tight at this time. The chamfer on the inside of thrust washer (6) must be away from bearing (7). The chamfer provides clearance for the radius on the thrust face of pin (4).3. Use a depth micrometer to measure through the hole in plate (9) to the end of pin (4).4. Use an outside micrometer to measure the thickness of plate (9).5. The difference between the two measurements is the gap between pin (4) and the bottom of plate (9).6. Remove bolts (5) and plate (9). Install shims (8) equal to the gap found in Step 5 plus 0.25 mm (.010 in).7. Install plate (9) with shims (8) using six bolts (5) and washers. Tighten bolts to a torque of 620 80 N m (460 60 lb ft).8. Tighten bolts (2) with washers to a torque of 1125 100 N m (820 75 lb ft).
