Connect the communication adapter (B) to service tool connector (E1). Test Procedure - Piston Pump Neutral
Mechanical Adjustment
Perform the steps in the "Test Preparation - Piston Pump Neutral" then continue to the following steps.
Connect one end of Tool (D) to the port (X1) and the other end to port (X2).
Start the engine. Warm the oil to a minimum temperature of 20 °C (68 °F).

(6) Adjustment screw
Mark the initial position of adjustment screw (6) on the forward pump.
Loosen locknut (5) on adjustment screw (6).
Turn the adjustment screw clockwise until the winch pressure increases by 6895 kPa (1000 psi). Mark this position.
Turn the adjustment screw back to the original position.
Turn the adjustment screw counter clockwise until the winch pressure increases by 6895 kPa (1000 psi). Mark this position.
Position the set screw at the midpoint between the two positions that were marked in Step 8 and Step 10.
Maintain the position of adjustment screw (6) while you tighten locknut (5). Hydraulic Adjustment
Perform the steps in the "Test Preparation - Piston Pump Neutral" then continue to the following steps.

Install Tool (F) in port (X1) and (X2). Connect one end of pressure differential Tool (D) to port (X1) and the other end of pressure differential Tool (D) to port (X2).
Start the engine. Warm the oil to a minimum temperature of 20 °C (68 °F).
Set the engine speed to idle.

(7) Adjustment screw
(8) Lock screw
Loosen lock screw (8) while you hold adjustment screw (7).
Adjust the set screw and the pressure MUST be within 0 172 kPa (0 25 psi) of the left travel backward pressure.
Maintain the position of the adjustment screw while you tighten the lock screw. Note: This adjustment is sensitive and the adjustment can easily change as you tighten the lock screw.Note: One-half revolution of adjustment screw (7) is the maximum adjustment. A small amount of movement of the screw makes a large pressure difference.
Remove all of the tooling.
Replace all panels.
