( 1 ) Use the interval that occurs first.
( 2 ) Refer to this Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Maintenance Interval Schedule" for the correct interval for replacement of the cooling system water temperature regulator.
( 3 ) Use only Cat ELC Extender with Cat ELC.
( 4 ) Cat ELC Extender must be added at 6000 service hours or one half of the service life of the Cat ELC.
( 5 ) An extender must be added at 3000 service hours or one half of the service life of the coolant.
( 6 ) In order to be used in Cat Diesel Engines in accordance with this service interval, commercial EC-1 coolants must also pass/conform to the additional requirements for EC-1 specification coolants as stated in the coolant section of Special Publication, SEBU6251, "Cat Commercial Diesel Engine Fluids Recommendations".
