Information:
1. Remove the frame lock pin and put it in stored position. 2. Remove the wheel lean lock pin and store it in the machine tool box. 3. Open the fuel tank drain and drain the moisture and sediment. Close the drain. Drain the moisture and sediment from the air reservoir. Check the engine oil level. Maintain the oil level in the SAFE STARTING range on the ENGINE STOPPED side of the dipstick. Check the hydraulic tank oil level. Maintain the oil level to the FULL mark in the sight gauge. Check the radiator coolant level. Maintain the coolant level above the indicator plate in the bottom of the radiator fill pipe. Check the transmission and differential oil level. Maintain the oil level to the FULL mark on the dipstick. Observe the air cleaner indicator. Service the air cleaner when the indicator shows red.Test the Supplemental Steering (If Equipped)
A dead cell in the machine's batteries will result in a loss of supplemental steering capability.
Hold the switch in the MANUAL position only long enough to test the supplemental steering. Do not exceed five minutes. Allow the pump and solenoid to cool.
To Test
The supplemental steering will not function unless the disconnect switch is in the ON position. 1. Turn the disconnect switch to ON. 2. The supplemental steering fault indicator (1) should blink and the fault light should flash until the engine is started. The supplemental steering motor indicator should go ON for three seconds. While the motor indicator (2) is ON, the effort required to steer the machine should be nearly the same as the effort required when using the machine's primary steering system.3. Start the engine. The supplemental steering fault indicator and fault light as well as the motor indicator should go OFF.4. With the engine running, move and hold the supplemental steering switch (3) on the control console to MANUAL. The motor indicator (2) should go ON. The machine should steer normally. The supplemental steering indicator fault light (1) should stay off.5. With the engine at LOW IDLE, the transmission modulator pedal and the brake pedal depressed and the transmission control in the highest gear, release the transmission modulator pedal to stall the engine. The supplemental steering indicator fault light (1) and the motor indicator (2) should go ON. The machine should steer normally. Pull the accelerator pedal up to the engine stopped position. The motor indicator (2) should go OFF, the supplemental steering indicator (1) and fault light should stay ON.6. Turn the start key switch to OFF to turn off the supplemental steering system.Seat Belt
Always check the condition of the seat belt and mounting hardware before operating the machine.Replace the seat belt at least once every three years, regardless of appearance. A date label, to determine the age of the belt, is sewn onto each belt.
Inspect for worn or frayed webbing. Check for worn or damaged buckle or anticreep slide, on each half of the belt. Replace the belt, buckle or slides if they are worn or
