The EMCP 4 can be used for monitoring and control of Mechanical Unit Injector (MUI) engines. Relay output 1 (configurable) typically used to energize the switch for the starter the magnetic switch on the starter motor that is used to crank the engine.
Relay output 2 (configurable) typically used to provide a run signal to the engine governor.
More relay output (configured for rated speed) gives permissive signal to the engine governor to ramp up to rated speed.MUI engine parameters monitored directly by EMCP 4:
Engine Speed (via magnetic pickup input)The EMCP 4.2 has three analog inputs. For a MUI engine analog input 1 and analog input 2 are set at the factory and are not available for customer use, analog input 3 may be available for customer use.
