1. Stop the machine with the bucket flat on the ground. Remove the bolt from the pin that holds the link to the bucket. Remove the pin. If the pin is a very tight fit, tooling (A) can be used.2. Start the machine and extend or retract the tilt cylinder until the bucket lever is in the vertical position. 3. Fasten a hoist to the tilt cylinder so it will not fall. Remove grease fitting (1) from the pin. Remove bolt (2) that holds the pin in place. Remove the pin from the bucket lever. If the pin is a very tight fit, tooling (B) can be used. Lower the tilt cylinder so the head of the cylinder is against the lift arm torque tube. 4. Fasten a hoist to the bucket lever. Remove bolt (3) and remove pin (4) from the bucket lever. If the pin is a very tight fit, tooling (B) can be used.5. Remove the bucket lever and link from the lift arms. Weight of the bucket lever and link is 207 kg (460 lb). Install Bucket Lever And Link in the reverse order. Put clean grease on the bearings in the tilt cylinder and bucket link. Tighten all pin bolts to a torque of 360 50 N m (265 35 lb ft). Install the grease fitting in the pin. After installation use a grease gun to push clean grease into the pins.
Do not damage the seals in the tilt cylinder and bucket lever and link when the pins are installed.
Disassemble And Assemble Bucket Lever And Link
Start By:a. remove bucket lever and link 1. Remove the bolt that holds pin (1) in place. Remove pin (1) from the lever. Remove link (2) from the lever. 2. Remove seal (3) from both ends of the link. Use tooling (A) and a press to remove bearings (4) from both ends of the link. 3. Remove seals (5) from the lever. Use tooling (B) and a press to remove bearing (6) from the lever. Assemble Bucket Lever And Link in the reverse order. Lower the temperature of the bearings for link and the lever. Use tooling (A) and a press to install the bearings in both ends of the link and in the lever. Install the bearings so they are in the center of the bearing bores. Put clean grease on the bearings in the lever and bucket link. Tighten all pin bolts to a torque of 360 50 N m (265 35 lb ft). After assembly use a grease gun to push clean grease into the pins.
Do not damage the seals in the link when pin (5) is installed.
