Transmission Hold Control (Button on Joystick)The transmission hold control is located on the joystick to the right side of the operator's seat. The transmission hold control is used in order to keep the transmission in a selected speed. When the transmission hold control is in the OPEN position, the transmission will upshift at approximately 2000 RPM and the transmission will downshift at approximately 1400 RPM. When the transmission hold control is in the CLOSED position, the transmission control gets an electrical ground through the electrical harness of the transmission control. This prevents the transmission from shifting until the transmission hold control is deactivated. There is underspeed protection and overspeed protection when the transmission hold control is closed. For more information, refer to Service Module, "Power Train Electronic Control System" for your machine. Use the transmission hold control for loading or approaching an upgrade. The transmission hold control may also be used for unloading.
