Purpose of Document This document is intended to provide necessary information for the correct electronic application and installation of the TH48-E80 transmission control systems. This document is a resource for wiring, monitoring, calibrating, and configuring customer features and other tasks of installation. This document provides a basic reference and a guide for the correct selection, installation, and the application of the electronic transmission control system.Scope of DocumentThis document specifically relates to the vehicle to the electrical interface for the transmission. This document discusses the application, implementation, and installation of the transmission control. This document contains a description of features, graphics, and specifications of transmission electronics and of closely related Caterpillar products.This document includes some aspects of the following: sensors of the control system, actuators, relays, shifters, service tools, calibration tools and interfaces and the theory and practice of the application and installation of the transmission control.This document does not include the operation and the description of the transmission and of the hydraulics.
