3. Remove case drain line (1) from between pumps.4. Disconnect oil lines (2), (3), (4) and (6).5. Disconnect signal control lines (5) and (8).6. Disconnect inlet lines (7) and (9) from pumps. 7. Remove inlet line (10) from pilot and swing pump.8. Fasten a hoist to rear of engine and remove bolts (11) and (12) from supports.9. Remove two bolts from each side of oil plate in line with frame. 10. Lift the rear of the engine until two steel spacers (13) 2" high (50.8 mm) and 1 1/2" wide (38.1 mm) can be installed between engine and frame on each side as shown.
Do not install blocks in center of oil pan plate. This will cause damage to plate.
11. Install four 1/2"-13 NC forged eyebolts (14) in the pumps and pump drive. Fasten a hoist and remove the bolts that hold the pump drive to the flywheel housing. Remove pumps and pump drive as a unit. Weight of unit is 1500 lb. (680 kg).12. Remove the three pumps from the pump drive. Weight of each piston pump is 400 lb. (181 kg). Weight of swing and pilot pump is 45 lb. (20 kg).Install Pump Drive
1. Install the two piston pumps (1) and swing pump (2) on pump drive.2. Install two 7/16"-14 NC guide bolts into flywheel housing.3. Install four 1/2"-13 NC forged eyebolts in the pumps and pump drive. 4. Fasten a hoist to pump drive (3) and put it in position on flywheel housing. Turn the engine to get the flywheel and pump drive in alignment.5. Remove the guide bolts from the flywheel housing and install bolts that hold the pump drive to flywheel housing.6. Lift the rear of engine until the steel spacers between the frame and oil pan plate can be removed. Remove the spacers. 7. Install bolts (5) in the rear supports.8. Install the four bolts in the oil pan plate.9. Connect inlet line (4) to pilot and swing pump. 10. Connect inlet lines (8) and (9) to piston pumps.11. Connect signal control lines (6) and (7).12. Fill the piston pumps with SAE 10W hydraulic oil through the outlet ports.
Do not start engine without first filling the pumps with oil.
13. Connect the outlet lines and case drain lines to top of the pumps.14. Fill the pump drive with oil to the correct level.15. Install air cleaner and housing.16. Fill the hydraulic tank with oil to the correct level.Disassemble Pump Drive
start by: a) remove pump drive 1. Remove bolt (1) from flange.2. Remove flange and spider from pump drive. 3. Remove bolts (2) from flange (3). Remove flange from spider.4. Turn the pump drive over and remove the bolts from the two outer cages. 5. Install two 7/16"-14 NC forcing screws (4) in each cage and remove the outer cages. Keep the shims and cages together for installation purpose. 6. Remove the bearing cups from the outer cages with tooling (A).7. Remove bolts (5) from the center cage. Install two 3/8"-16 NC forcing screws and
