Product Link Location
Request the location of the equipment. With the customer at the location of the equipment, ask the customer if the equipment is located where the radio antenna has a clear line of sight to the sky.
If the equipment was inside a building, under/next to a large obstacle, have the customer do the following:
Attempt to move the equipment to a more open location with a clear line of sight to the sky.Try the "Update" again.
If the "Update" button does not return new data, refer to "Product Link Radio Power Status".
If the "Update" causes new data to be returned, then return the equipment to service.Product Link Radio Power Status
Have the customer verify that the key is ON for the machine. If the key was OFF, instruct the customer to turn the key ON.

The radio disable switch controls the power being supplied to the radio. When enabled, the radio is not allowed to power ON. If enabled, have the customer disable the radio disable switch, and attempt another "Update".Note: The radio disable switch is optional and may not be present on the equipment. Radio disable switches are primarily used on equipment used in or near blast zones.
Update returns new data, return the equipment to service.
Update does not return new data then proceed to "On-Site Diagnostics".On-Site Diagnostics
Note: Before any on-site diagnostics are performed, all diagnostic procedures from the "Off-Site Diagnostics" section should have been previously performed.Note: Ensure that the PL631 and Network Manager have the most current software installed.
Check the Product Link antenna for any significant physical damage. If the antenna has any significant damage, then replace the antenna and perform a communication check. If the antenna appears undamaged, proceed to Step 2.Note: Refer to System Operation Testing and Adjusting, UENR5823, "Service Dashboard" and "Communication Check" sections for the procedure for conducting a communication check.
Satellite radio can now communicate. Perform a communication check and return to service.
