Loosen hose clamps (8) on hoses (7). Disconnect hoses (7) and the flexible conduits from elbows (6). The two elbows are located on bypass valve (9) .

Remove the cotter and pin (13) from lever assembly (12) .
Loosen nut (10) on governor control cable (11) .Note: Mark the location of nut (10) for installation purposes.
Remove governor control cable (11) from bracket (14). Move the governor control cable out of the way.

Slide boot (16) up cable (15) and disconnect the cable from solenoid assembly (17) on the starter motor.

Disconnect the main wiring harness at quick coupler (18) .

Remove cable strap (19) and move air conditioning line (2) and hoses (7) out of the way.

Loosen two hose clamps (21) on hump hose (20). The hump hose holds aftercooler tubes (22) onto the aftercooler.Note: Aftercooler tubes (22) will be disconnected at a later time.
Loosen hose clamp (23) and disconnect hose (24) from the radiator.

Close valves (26). Loosen two hose clamps (25) and remove heater hose (29) and (30) from the valves.
Loosen two hose clamps (27) on hose (28). Remove hose (28) that connects the engine to the bottom of the radiator.

Loosen hose clamp (34) and remove hose (24) .
Loosen eight hose clamps (31) on two hump hoses (32). Remove aftercooler tubes (22) .
Remove two hump hoses (32) with the eight hose clamps from air inlet elbow (33) .

Loosen four hose clamps (39) on hump hose (38). Loosen two hose clamps (36) on hump hose (37) .
Remove aftercooler tube (35). Remove hump hose (38) with the hose clamps from the turbocharger.

Disconnect quick coupler (41) from the coolant level sensor. Remove cable strap (40) and move the wiring and hoses out of the way.

Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to support engine (42) .

Remove nut (47), washer (48), the two plated washers and bolt (44) from each front engine mount (43) .
Remove nut (46), washer (49), the two plated washers and bolt (50) from each rear engine mount (45) .
Remove the engine. The weight of the engine is approximately 716 kg (1578.5 lb).
