Close-up view of the second bearing configuration of the connecting rod bearing tabsThe connecting rod assembly for certain C10 and C12 machine engines utilize two acceptable designs for bearing tab slots for connecting rod bearings. The use of either bearing tab slot design in the same engine is acceptable. The first connecting rod configuration utilizes an alternating bearing tab slot. Refer to Illustration 1. The second connecting rod configuration utilizes a dual bearing tab slot. Refer to Illustration 2.
