Information:
INSTALLATION:
1. Find the 7D8796 Harness Assembly that is fastened to the side of the transmission console. See Illustrations 1 and2. This harness is extended from the shift console to the connector on the left platform support.2. Measure from the end that has the right angle connector and cut off 3" (80 mm) of the wrap. See Illustration 1.3. There are two R/B (Red/Black) wires that go to the console switch. One wire goes from the fuse to pin (J), and the other goes from the back-up lights to pin (G). Disconnect harness from console.4. Cut one R/B wire and use a continuity tester to see if it goes to pin (G) or (J).5. Cut the other R/B wire and see if it goes to pin (G) or (J).6. Connect a length of No. 16 wire to both ends of the wire that goes from the fuse to pin (J).7. Connect separate lengths of No. 16 wire to each end of the wire that formerly went from the back-up lights to pin (G).8. Fasten the correct size terminals on the three new wires. Illustration 1.
