ENCLOSURE AR 5167427 - Caterpillar

1. Remove nine bolts (1) from left side valve cover (2). Remove left side valve cover (2). 2. Remove gasket (3) from left side valve cover (2). 3. Remove bolt, washer and clip (5) from right side valve cover (4). 4. Remove eight remaining bolts (6).5. Remove right side valve cover (4).6. Remove the gasket from right side valve cover (4).Install Valve Covers
1. Install the gasket in the right side valve cover. 2. Install right side valve cover (4).3. Install eight of the nine bolts (6) leaving one opening where the fuel line is clamped to the valve cover. 4. Install bolt, washer and clamp (5).5. Tighten eight bolts (6) and bolt (5) to a torque of 14 4 N m (10 3 lb ft). 6. Install gasket (3) in left side valve cover (2). 7. Install left side valve cover (2).8. Install nine bolts (1) and tighten to a torque of 14 4 N m (10 3 lb ft).
