If the shear assembly is not lowered to the ground before the counterweight is removed, the machine can fall forward and cause injury. To prevent injury always lower the shear assembly to the ground before the counterweight is removed.
TYPICAL EXAMPLE1. Fasten a hoist to counterweight (1).2. Remove four bolts (2) that hold the counterweight to the frame. Remove the counterweight. Weight of the counterweight is approximately 2790 kg (6150 lb.).Install Counterweight
TYPICAL EXAMPLE1. Fasten a hoist to the counterweight. Put counterweight (1) in position on the frame.2. Install the bolts that hold the counterweight to the frame and tighten them to a torque of 1122 110 N m (820 80 lb.ft.).
