Remove ten bolts (1) from bearing plate (2). Discard bolts (1) .Note: Bolts (1) cannot be reused. Always install new bolts.

Remove bearing plate (2) .

Remove shim pack (3) .
Use the following procedure to install Tooling (B) in the hole of hub (4) :

Place the lifting sling in the hole of hub (4) .

Install the bolt between the sling and the hole.

Tie the sling around the bolt to prevent the bolt from moving during the removal of hub (4) .

Repeat Steps 4.a through 4.c in order to install Tooling (B) in the two remaining holes.
Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (B). The combined weight of the hub and of the ring gear is approximately 65 kg (143 lb).
Remove hub (4) and ring gear (5) from wheel assembly (6) .

Remove three bolts (7) from hub (4) .

Remove retaining ring (8) from ring gear (5) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to hub (4). Remove hub (4) from ring gear (5). The weight of the hub is approximately 32 kg (70 lb).

Remove bearing cup (9) from hub (4) .

Remove bushing (10) from hub (4) .

Install Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to wheel assembly (6). The weight of the wheel assembly is approximately 175 kg (385 lb).
Remove wheel assembly (6) from the brake and spindle assembly.

Remove Duo-Cone seals (11) and (12) from wheel assembly (6) .
