ENGINE AR-COMPLETE 0R8520 - Caterpillar

1. Remove exhaust extension (1). Remove the precleaner extension (3).2. Remove hood sections (2) over the muffler.3. Disconnect line (6) from the muffler.4. Loosen clamp (7). 5. Connect a hoist to the muffler. Remove the top half of brackets (4). Slide the muffler (5) to the right until it is clear of the turbocharger exhaust elbow. Remove the muffler (5). Weight of the muffler is 78 lb. (35 kg).Install Muffler
1. Connect a hoist to the muffler. Put the muffler (1) in position on brackets (4) and the exhaust elbow of the turbocharger.2. Install the top half of brackets (4).3. Tighten clamp (2).4. Connect line (3) to the muffler.5. Install the hood sections over the muffler.6. Install the exhaust extension and precleaner extension.
