1. Remove four bolts (1), and remove transmission brake (2) from the transmission. 2. Remove seal (4) from the brake housing.3. Remove two snap rings (3), and remove pad (5) from the housing. 4. Remove two springs (6) and pad (7) from the housing. 5. Remove two pistons (8) from the brake housing. Remove two seals (10) from each piston. The following steps are for installation of the transmission brake.6. Check all seals for wear or damage, and replace them if necessary. Lubricate the seals with transmission oil during assembly.7. If two dowels (9) were removed, install them until they project 11.5 .25 mm (.45 .010 in.) from surface (X).8.
