Start By:
Remove the center drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Center) - Remove and Install".Note: SERVICE DATA: TOOLING (ZZ) WILL NOT BE IDENTIFIED IN PHOTOGRAPHS IN THE REMOVAL OR THE INSTALLATION. THIS TOOLING IS SHOWN IN ORDER TO ASSIST THE EXPERIENCED SERVICEMAN.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to guard assembly (1). Position Tooling (B) under guard assembly (1). The weight of guard assembly (1) is approximately 41 kg (90 lb). Remove bolts (2) and lower guard assembly (1) to the ground.

Attach Tooling (C) to hydraulic oil tank (3) .

Disconnect hose assembly (4) .Note: Hose assembly (4) must be disconnected for proper clearance for Tooling that will be installed in the next step.

Attach Tooling (A) to the side of main hydraulic control valve (5). Attach Tooling (D) to Tooling (A). Attach Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device to front drive shaft (6). The weight of front drive shaft (6) is approximately 61 kg (135 lb).
Remove bolts (7) from front drive shaft (6).

Remove bolt (8) and retainer (9) .

Remove O-ring seal (10) and yoke assembly (11) .

Remove bolts (12) and bearing cage (13) .

Remove lip seal (14) from bearing cage (13) .

Remove O-ring seal (15) .

Install Tooling (E) and remove bearing cage (16).

Use Tooling (F) and a suitable press in order to remove roller bearing (17) (not shown) and roller bearing (18) (not shown) from bearing cage (16). Remove the lip seal from bearing cage (16) .

Lower front drive shaft (6) to the ground.
