ACTION REQUIRED
If the track pin is broken, replace the original track link with more durable track link 499-1480 having new Track Pin. Rework the existing track shoe in order to reduce stress onto the pin during machine traveling as before failure action, even when the track pin has not broken.
Refer to the attached Rework Procedure.

This is a 4.2-hour job
This is 17.6hr job in before failure rework, and 4.2hr job in after failure rework.
If previously the first track pin failure of your machine occurred at 5,000hrs or less and if the operation hours of your machine is in between 5,000hrs and 8,000hrs, please claim under ?4001-5000hrs, 41-50 months? in the table above. Dealer must record the actual SMU of this first track pin failure clearly (
Dealer is able to claim additional 17.6 hrs for clipping shoes in after failure rework only if they have not done it in the previous PS45189 (released on 9th Aug 2016) .
The affected machine that do not have any repeated track pin failure after completion of the earlier PS45189 (released on 9th Aug 2016) will not be required for any further rework in this service letter.
PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1. If the track pin is broken, replace the original track link with new track link 499-1480.
Rework of the Existing Track Shoe:
1. Remove the shoe plate from the track-link group. Refer to UENR7323 and UENR3323, Disassembly and Assembly, for additional information.
2. Cut the edge of lag for all shoe plates. Refer to Image1.3.1 and 1.3.2.

3. Install the modified shoe plate onto the track shoe. Refer to UENR7323 and UENR3323, Disassembly and Assembly, for additional information.
