304.5 (ANR, WAK) MINI HYDRAULIC EXCAVATORProblem:
Some confusion has been generated as a result of 303.5 and 304.5 Mini Hydraulic Excavators being manufactured/distributed from both Leicester and Sagami, where both facilities have utilized the same serial number prefixes: "AFW" for 303.5 machines and "ANR" for 304.5 machines. Although the machines are basically the same, there will be slight differences in the parts consists for each model due to locality.Solution:
New serial number prefixes have been established for machines that are being manufactured and distributed from Leicester.* All 303.5 machines manufactured/distribute from Leicester after June 1, 2001, have the serial number prefix "DCH".* All 304.5 machines manufactured/distributed from Leicester after October 1, 2001, have the serial number prefix "WAK".The previous prefixes of 303.5(AFW) and 304.5(ANR) continue to be used for machines that are manufactured/distributed from Sagami.COPYRIGHT 2001 CATERPILLAR ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
