Stopping the Machine - Power Shift
1. Push the governor control lever FORWARD slightly to reduce the engine speed.Stop the machine on level ground. 2. Push both brake pedals DOWN to stop the machine. 3. Move the transmission speed selector lever to neutral (N). 4. Push the transmission neutral lock lever DOWN. 5. Push both brake pedals DOWN, then push the parking brake lock lever DOWN to engage the brake lock. 6. Lower all raised implements to the ground. Apply a slight down pressure.Stopping the Machine - Direct Drive
1. Push the governor control lever FORWARD slightly to reduce the engine speed.Stop the machine on level ground. 2. Push both brake pedals DOWN to reduce the machine speed. 3. Push the flywheel clutch lever FORWARD to disengage the clutch. 4. Push both brake pedals down (1), then push the parking brake lock lever (2) DOWN to engage the brake lock. 5. Move the transmission speed selector to neutral. 6. Move the forward-neutral-reverse directional lever to neutral.7. Lower all raised implements to the ground. Stopping the engine immediately after it has been working under load, can result in overheating and accelerated wear of the engine components. Follow the stopping procedure outlined below to allow the engine to cool and to prevent excessive temperatures in the turbocharger centerhousing, which will cause oil coking problems. Never turn the disconnect key to OFF while the engine is running.
1. Stop the machine. See "Stopping the Machine" in the "Parking the Machine" section.2. Operate the engine at low idle for five minutes.This allows hot areas in the engine to cool gradually, extending engine life. 3. Push the governor control lever all the way FORWARD, past detent, to stop the engine. 4. Turn the start switch knob to OFF.Leaving the Machine
1. Turn the disconnect switch key to OFF.2. Remove the key.This will prevent the engine from being started or lights being turned on by unauthorized persons.3. Use handholds and steps when leaving the machine.4. Install antitheft guards and locks, if equipped.
