ENGINE AR-COMPLETE 1246714 - Caterpillar

1. Raise right access door.2. Pull two boots (2) off to expose wiring terminals.3. Remove two nuts (4) (not shown). Mark or identify wiring for later installation.4. Remove bolt (1) from P-clamp.5. Use tool (A) to remove shutoff solenoid (3). The following steps are for the installation of the shutoff solenoid.6. Use tool (A) to install shutoff solenoid (3).
When using an offset spanner wrench, the torque must be recalculated to prevent over torquing. Use The Torque Computer Form No. SEHS7150.
7. Tighten shutoff solenoid (3) to a torque of 70 10 N m (50 7 lb ft).8. Position P-clamp to the shutoff solenoid. Secure bolt (1).9. Position wiring to the two terminals. Install two nuts (4) (not shown).10. Install two boots (2) over wiring terminals.11. Close right access door.
