2. Loosen water pump drive bolts. Pivot water pump drive (7) toward the fan drive. Remove V-belt (4) from pulley (6). Use the square hole in the plate assembly to maintain tension when installing water pump drive V-belt.3. Loosen hose clamp (1).4. Disconnect lower radiator hose (5) (previously disconnected).5. Remove four bolts (3).6. Remove water pump (2). For installation of the water pump, reverse the removal steps.7. Adjust V-belt to correct tension. To adjust tension on V-belts. Refer to Operations & Maintenance Manual, Form No. SEBU6556 for correct V-belt tension.8. Start By:a. remove water pump and V-belt 1. Remove O-rings (1), remove four bolts (2) and remove rear cover with gasket. 2. Position water pump in a press, using spacer plates to level it up. Using a small plate from Driver Set (A), press shaft and pulley (3) out of impeller (4). Remove impeller (4). 3. Continue to press shaft and pulley (3) out of seal (5) and the water pump housing.
Do not allow the shaft and pulley to fall to the floor, damage may occur to the pulley.
4. Use the handle from Driver Set (B) and remove seal (5) from the water pump housing. 5. Press shaft and bearing assembly from pulley (3). The following steps are for the assembly of the water pump. 6. Press the shaft and the bearing assembly into pulley (3) until the end of the shaft is flush with the pulley (as illustrated). 7. Press shaft and bearing assembly with pulley (3) into water pump housing to the correct pulley position (as illustrated). 8. Using Water Pump Seal Installer (C), install seal. Press impeller (4) onto shaft to the correct impeller position (as illustrated). 9. Position gasket and cover, then install bolts (2). Install O-rings (1).End By:a. install water pump and V-belt
