Place the screed on two pieces of wood. Turn the thickness controls to the null position. Turn the thickness controls until you feel slack in the controls. The controls will turn easily with no drag when the controls are in the null position. Check both controls for null.
Turn the thickness controls in the clockwise direction in order to set the initial angle of attack. Turn the control until you feel resistance.As the screed slides off the blocks, the screed will move onto material that is partially compacted. The material will be the same depth as the thickness of the blocks.
To increase the depth, turn the controls clockwise. To decrease the depth, turn the controls counterclockwise.
