Connect Tool (B) to Tool (C) .Test Preparation
Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Move parking brake switch (4) to the ON position.
If the machine is equipped with a leveling blade, use blade control lever (3) to lower the blade to the ground.
Move throttle control switch (5) to the LOW-IDLE position.Note: The engine rpm will appear on machine display (2) .

Install steering frame lock (6) .

Allow the engine to run for 5 minutes. Move engine start switch (7) to the OFF position.

Connect Tool (A2) to pressure tap (8) .Test Procedure
Move engine start switch (7) to the START position. Release switch when engine starts.
Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes. Move throttle control switch (5) to the HIGH-IDLE position. Engine speed should be 2200 50 rpm.Note: The engine rpm will appear on machine display (2) .
Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 38 °C (100 °F) minimum.Note: The oil temperature will appear on machine display (2) .
If equipped, move blade control lever (3) into the RAISE position, and raise the blade off the ground.
Turn the steering wheel, and record pressure on Tool (A). The pressure should be 21000 1000 kPa (3046 145 psi).
Release the steering wheel.
If equipped, place blade control lever (3) in the LOWER position, and lower the blade to the ground.
Move throttle control switch (5) into the LOW-IDLE position.Note: The engine rpm will appear on machine display (2) .
Allow engine to run for 5 minutes. Move engine start switch (7) to the OFF position.
Disengage steering frame lock (6) .
If the pressure recorded in Step 5 is outside the specified range, replace the steering control unit.
