Assembly Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Exceeding the listed torque specifications may cause low engine performance.

Install O-ring seals (21) onto check valve assembly (12) .

Install O-ring seals (20) onto check valve assembly (9) .
Install O-ring seals (19) onto bypass valve assembly (8) .
Install O-ring seals (18) onto fitting (7) .

Install O-ring seals (17) onto solenoid valve assembly (6) .

Install O-ring seal (16) onto fuel temperature sensor (5) .
Install O-ring seals (15) onto check valve assembly (4) .

Install fittings (14) , nipple assembly (13) , check valve assembly (12) , plug (11) , and fittings (10) onto fuel filter base assembly (2) . Tighten check valve assembly (12) to a torque of 27 3 N m (20 2 lb ft).

Install check valve assembly (9) onto fuel filter base assembly (2) . Tighten check valve assembly (9) to a torque of 27 3 N m (20 2 lb ft).
Install bypass valve assembly (8) onto fuel filter base assembly (2) .
Install fitting (7) onto fuel filter base assembly (2) .
Install solenoid valve assembly (6) onto fuel filter base assembly (2) . Tighten solenoid valve assembly (6) to a torque of 50 10 N m (37 7 lb ft).

Install fuel temperature sensor (5) onto fuel filter base assembly (2) .
Install check valve assembly (4) onto fuel filter base assembly (2) . Tighten check valve assembly (4) to a torque of 27 3 N m (20 2 lb ft).
Install fuel priming pump (3) and the gasket onto fuel filter base assembly (2) .
Install coil assembly (1) onto fuel filter base assembly (2) . Tighten coil assembly (1) to a torque of 20 2.5 N m (15 2 lb ft).End By: Install the fuel filter base. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Filter Base - Install".
