Do not disconnect any air lines until the air pressure is zero.
2. Open the bleed valve (1) to release the air pressure in the tank. Open the other three bleed valves that are in a location under the tractor part of the machine.3. Disconnect main wiring harness (3) and wire harness (2). 4. Remove the four nuts that hold brake relay valve (4) in position. Move the valve away from the top of the engine. 5. Disconnect air line (6) from the governor control.6. Remove clip (7) and disconnect two fuel lines (5) from the fuel system. 7. Disconnect wires (8) from the battery to the electric starting motor. 8. Remove filler tube (9) for the scraper differential. Put a cap in the differential to keep dirt and foreign material out. 9. Fasten a hoist to the drive shaft between the scraper differential and scraper transmission and transfer gear. Remove the bolts that hold drive shaft (10) in position. Lower the drive shaft out the bottom of the scraper. Weight of the drive shaft is 54 lb. (24.5 kg). 10. Remove four bolts and nuts (11) that hold the power pack at the rear. 11. Remove four bolts and nuts (12) that hold the power pack in position at the front. 12. Fasten a hoist to the power pack as shown. Remove the power pack. Weight of the power pack is 5500 lb. (2495 kg).Install Power Pack
1. Fasten a hoist to power pack (1) and put it in position in the frame of the scraper.2. Install the four bolts and nuts that hold the rear of the power pack in position.3. Install the four bolts and nuts that hold the front of the power pack in position. 4. Fasten a hoist to drive shaft (2) and put it in position between the differential yoke and the yoke for the transmission and transfer gears. Install the bolts that hold it. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 110 10 lb.ft. (149.1 13.6 N m). 5. Install filler tube (3) for the scraper differential. 6. Connect cables (4) from the batteries to the electric starting motor. 7. Connect air line (6) to the governor control for the scraper engine.8. Connect fuel line (5) and fuel line (7) to the fuel injection pump. 9. Put brake relay valve (8) in position on the air tank and install the nuts and washers that hold it. 10. Connect wire harness (9) and main wire harness (10) for the scraper engine.11. Make sure all of the bleed valves are in a closed position.12. Turn the valves for the fuel supply for the power pack in the "ON" position.end by: a) install hood (tractor and scraper)
