Be sure no one is working on or near the machine to prevent injury. Keep the machine under control at all times to prevent injury.Reduce propel speed when maneuvering in tight quarters or when breaking over a rise.Select the propel range necessary before starting downgrade. Do not change ranges while going downhill.A good practice is to use the same range going downgrade that would be used to go up the grade.Do not allow the engine to overspeed downhill. Use the service brake pedal to reduce engine overspeed going downhill.Moving the Machine
1. Adjust the operator's seat.2. Fasten the seat belt. 3. Move the console selection switch (2) to the desired position.4. Move the screed switch (1) to raise the screed enough to clear any obstructions before moving.5. Move the propel range switch (3) to the desired range.6. Hold the engine speed switch (4) in the FAST position until the engine reaches maximum rpm. Release the switch. 7. Make sure the speed selection control (8) is in the SLOW position and the directional travel switch (5) in the desired direction of travel.8. Move the park brake switch (6) to the OFF position.9. Move the power switch (7) to the GO position.10. Turn the speed selection control until the desired travel speed is reached.Speed and Direction Changes
There are no restrictions on shifting up or down while the machine is in motion. However, for operator comfort and maximum service life of machine components, reducing propel speed when changing propel ranges, or when changing the position of the front wheel assist switch (if equipped), is recommended.Do not move the directional travel switch from one travel direction to the other without bringing the machine to a complete stop first.
