Remove sun gear (5).

Remove planetary assembly (6).

Remove retaining ring (7).

Use a suitable puller to remove gear (8).

Remove spacer (9).
Repeat Step 7 through Step 9 for the remaining gears.

Use a suitable punch to remove calking on ring nut (10).

Attach Tooling (A) to loosen ring nut (10). Remove ring nut (10).

Use a suitable press to separate housing (12) from travel motor (11).
Use Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to housing (12). The weight of housing (12) is approximately 83 kg (183 lb). Remove housing (12).

Assemble Tooling (C) on bearing race (13).
Turn the bolts on Tooling (C) until bearing race (13) comes out. Remove bearing race (13).

Remove seal (14).

Remove bearing race (15).

Turn over the housing. Remove seal (16) from the housing.

Remove bearing balls (17) and the separators from the housing.
