Typical example tightening procedure for tank retaining boltsNote: Apply a suitable sealant to the gaskets and the mounting surfaces when replacing the radiator tank gaskets. Recommended sealant is Loctite Gasket Maker #2.

Torque to
13 3 N m (10 2 lb ft).
3     40     OS-1618 Lower Tank Retaining Bolt     Apply Bostic Neverseez Marine Grade to the threads prior to installation.    
Torque to
13 3 N m (10 2 lb ft).
4     8     Full Nut     Apply Bostic Neverseez Marine Grade to the threads prior to installation.    
Tighten the four cross brace nuts until finger tight, and then turn an additional 180°.
Final tensioning should be carried out in small increments, spread evenly between all four corners, while diagonally measuring radiator to ensure squareness.
Install the outer nut and tighten to lock against the first nut.
