REMOVAL OF PRESSURE SUPPLY LINE AND FITTING AT PILOT VALVE
5. Verify that the fan pilot pressure supply line, 218-5922, has been connected to the proper port on the fan control valve. Reports from a few dealers indicate that the supply and return lines were switched at the fan control valve. This will result in the fan to not operate properly and may result in cooling system overheating.
The fan pilot pressure supply line as shipped from the factory should be connected at the locations as shown in Image 1.2.1. If the fan pilot supply pressure line is routed to the bottom port of the fan control valve, then it needs to be switched with the line that connects to the rear port of the fan control valve.

6. Disconnect 218-5922 fan pilot pressure supply line (image 1.3.1, item D) from fan control valve. Remove existing clips.
Note: You will reuse most of the clip points of the existing line routing.

7. Disconnect 218-5922 fan pilot pressure supply line (image 1.4.1, item E) from hydraulic pilot valve.

8. If tractor has been equipped for a ripper or winch attachment, the ripper/winch pilot supply line will be connected to the outlet leg of the T-fitting. If this is the case, disconnect the ripper/winch pilot supply line (image 1.5.1, item F), then remove the T-fitting (image 1.5.1, item G). Reattach ripper/winch pilot supply line directly to the fitting (image 1.5.1, item H) where the just-removed T-fitting was connected.

9. If tractor has NOT been equipped for a ripper or winch attachment, the outlet leg of the T-fitting will have a 6V-9829 cap (image 1.6.1, item I), on the outlet leg. If this is the case, remove the 6V-9836 tee (image 1.6.1, item J), then install the 6V-9829 cap where the just-removed T-fitting was connected (image 1.6.1, item K).

11. Sub-assemble Tee As. by installing two 6V-8397 O-rings and one 3J-1907 O-ring to 6V-8774 Tee (comprises 148-8439 Tee As.).
12. Sub-assemble Elbow As. by installing one 6V-8397 O-ring to 6V-9850 Elbow (comprises 148-8367 Elbow As.).
13. Remove fittings from old 148-8378 Elbow As. and install on bottom outlet leg of 148-8439 Tee As. (image 1.8.1, item M)
14. Install 148-8439 Tee As. to pilot valve (image 1.8.1, item N) .
15. Install 148-8367 Elbow As. to the top outlet leg of the Tee As. (image 1.8.1, item O)
16. Install 289-2201 Hose to Elbow.

17. Route hose behind PT Oil Filter (as shown in image 1.7.1) and add 4D-9517 clip to the existing boss on top of the clip that secures 227-9544 Implement Pressure Supply Line (as shown in image 1.9.1). Clip points remain the same beyond this clip to the Fan Control Valve.
18. Connect hose to Fan Control Valve.
19. Remove vacuum from hydraulic tank and add hydraulic fluid as required.

TEST/VALIDATION
20. Verify proper fan operation of the fan reversing valve switch. Start the tractor, activate implement lockout switch, and check for air either being pushed or pulled through the engine
