Fuel Injector Adjustment For MEUI C

Typical MEUI C injector
(1) Tappet
(2) Electrical connectorMechanical Electronic Unit Injectors (MEUI) C have the typical features that are shown in Illustration 1. The injectors typically have a raised tappet (1), and electrical connector (2).
Set the engine to Top Dead Center for piston number 1. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Finding Top Center Position for No. 1 Piston" for the proper procedure.
Set injectors number 4, 5, 6, 9, 11, and 12.
Turn the injector adjustment screw clockwise until contact is made with the injector.
Turn the adjustment screw clockwise an additional 180° 20° (1/2 turn).
Hold the adjustment screw in this position and tighten the locknut to 100 10 N m (74 7 lb ft).
Turn the engine a complete 360° to set the engine at TDC for piston 11.
Set injectors number 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, and 10.
Turn the injector adjustment screw clockwise until contact is made with the injector.
Turn the adjustment screw clockwise an additional 180° 20° (1/2 turn).
Hold the adjustment screw in this position and tighten the locknut to 100 10 N m (74 7 lb ft).
