Winches ( 7WA)A thread sealant, 7M7456 Bearing Mount Compound (green), is now used on bolts located near or below the operating oil level of the 53 Winch. Sealant is also used on the threads of the through drilled holes in the winch case assembly, to prevent oil leakage into the winch case.
A 4F7389 Seal (O-ring) has been added under the 9K2129 Spacer on the right end of the winch drum shaft. The seal will help prevent pressure oil leakage between the winch case assembly, the spacer and the winch drum shaft. These changes are in effect with 53 Winch 7WA303 and are adaptable to all earlier 53 Winches.
