Information:

start by:a) remove air cleanerb) remove water temperature regulatorc) remove exhaust manifoldd) remove rocker shaft and push rods 1. Loosen clamps (1) and slide hose (3) clear of the water pump elbow.2. Remove water pump elbow (2) from the cylinder head.3. Disconnect water temperature switch (5) from the cylinder head.4. Remove bracket (4). 5. Fasten a hoist to the fan drive and remove four bolts (6) that hold it to the cylinder head. 6. Fasten tool (A) to the cylinder block as shown. Install the fan drive on tool (A). 7. Remove the bolts that hold the cylinder head to the cylinder block. Install a 3/4"-10 NC forged eyebolt (8) in the cylinder head. Fasten a hoist to the cylinder head. Remove cylinder head (7). The weight of the cylinder head is 90 kg (200 lb.).Install Cylinder Head
1. Clean the machined surfaces of the cylinder head and cylinder block that make contact with the cylinder head gasket.2. Install a new cylinder head gasket. Make sure the holes are in alignment. 3. Install a 3/4"-10 NC forged eyebolt (1) in the cylinder head. Fasten a hoist to the cylinder head. Put cylinder head (2) in position on the cylinder block. 4. Install the push rods (4). Put the rocker shaft (3) in position on the cylinder head. Make sure the dowels are in alignment with the rocker shaft. 5. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the bolts that hold the cylinder head and rocker shaft in position.6. Tighten the bolts in the cylinder head in the step sequence that follows: a) Tighten all the bolts in number sequence to a torque of 155 N m (115 lb. ft.).b) Tighten all bolts in number sequence to a torque of 250 17 N m (185 13 lb. ft.).c) Tighten all bolts in number sequence (hand turn only) to a torque of 250 17 N m (185 13 lb. ft.).d) Tighten all bolts in letter sequence to a torque of 28 N m (22 lb. ft.).e) Tighten all bolts in letter sequence to a torque of 43 7 N m (32 5 lb. ft.).f) Tighten all bolts in letter sequence (hand turn only) to a torque of 43 7 N m (32 5 lb. ft.). 7. Fasten a hoist to the fan drive. Remove tool (A). Install fan drive (5) on the cylinder head. 8. Connect water temperature switch (7) to the cylinder head.9. Install bracket (6). 10. Install the gaskets on the water pump and cylinder head. Put the water pump elbow (8) in position and install the bolts that hold it.11. Put hose (9) in position and tighten clamps (10).12. Make adjustments to the intake valve clearance and exhaust valve clearance. Intake valve clearance is 0.38 mm (.015 in.). Exhaust valve clearance is 0.64 mm (.025 in.).end by:a) install exhaust manifoldb) install water temperature regulatorc) install air cleanerd) install valve cover
