Diagnostic Codes Are Active For All Five Auto ECM Modules.
When CID 4533, 4534, 4535, 4536, and 4537 codes are active at the same time, the "Pulse Per Second Module" is not communicating with the "Auto ECM" modules.Test Step 1. Inspect The power connections to the Pulse per second (PPS) module
Check for correct power and ground voltages and connections. Reference the system schematic for details.Results:
OK - The PPS module power and ground connections are correct. Proceed to Test Step 2.
NOT OK - Faulty connections are identified.Repair: Correct the problems, using the system schematic to identify the connection or ground locations.If the diagnostic codes are not cleared, repeat Test Step 1.Test Step 2. inspect input communications connection on the PPS module.

Inspect the input connection on the PPS for continuity. Reference the system schematics for additional details.Results:
OK - The PPS module input communication connections are working properly. Proceed to Test Step 3.
NOT OK - Faulty connections are identified.Repair: Correct the problems, using the system schematic to identify the connection or ground locations.If the diagnostic codes are not cleared, repeat Test Step 1.STOPTest Step 3. Replace the pps with a known good unit.
Turn OFF the machine and replace the PPS with a known good unit. Turn the machine to the ON position.Results:
OK - The "PPS" module communicates correctly with the "Auto ECM" modules. The diagnostic codes are cleared.STOP
NOT OK - The "PPS" module is not communicating with the "Auto ECM" modules. The diagnostic codes are not cleared. Proceed to Test Step 4.Test Step 4. Inspect output communication connections on the pps module.
